Couples, Marriage and Relationship Counselling
When couples begin a relationship together, they often develop a belief that they must handle all they encounter alone. You might have tried and tried to make your marriage work or even started marriage counselling before. You do not want to stay in an unfulfilled marriage, but separating from family does not feel right. Sometimes a sudden crisis emerges and requires immediate attention.
Principally we aim at providing a safe and collaborative place where you can together share your thoughts, feelings and experiences of each other moving towards establishing a common ground.
Interactive and Reflective
Our couple's therapy approach is INTERACTIVE, REFLECTIVE AND INVOLVED.
Some of the areas we work in:
Communication and conflict resolution
Fighting and anger
Dependence vs. independence
Rekindling sexual desire
Infidelity and betrayal
Infertility and adoption
Money and finances
Divorce and separation
Issues with family of origin
The right to happiness.
Couples and marriage counselling and psychotherapy offers a great opportunity to people in any close relationship to make sense of, and to facilitate, the problems and challenges that inevitably occur during a relationship lifetime.
"It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance." - Amanda McBroom
Can you save a marriage that has been emotionally and sexually gone for years? Is it possible for the love to come back? Is it really possible to fully recover from an affair? Can you stop the rows and the power struggles? Can you feel free to be true to yourself and say it as it is in a loving relationship? What is a good relationship? Can you communicate to your partner and be understood? Can you become parents without forgetting to be a couple?
"People change and forget to tell each other." - Lillian Hellman
At Leone Centre Couple Counselling and Psychotherapy we work confidentially, supporting couples to make sense of the challenges that inevitably occur during the lifetime of a relationship.
A mutual commitment to the work is the ground that helps your relationship to start moving towards a stronger and more meaningful place. When the potential of challenges is used to its best, your relationships moves towards a much better and more fulfilling place.
"Conflict is the alchemical soup that transforms raw emotion and instinct into pure gold." - Harville Hendrix
We work with couples who are: married or not, cohabiting or not, LGBTQ, heterosexual, in a partnership, in a process of separating or separated, co-parenting.
Starting Marriage and Couple Counselling
When needed, we aim at offering an initial session within one business day of your first contact.
It is not unusual for one partner in a relationship to be more reluctant to engage in couple counselling. Our first session gives a couple the opportunity to often provide reassurance and a sense of the positive aspects of communicating, listening and understanding.
Counselling - Fulham, SW6, Putney, SW15, Chelsea, SW3, SW6
